Collect a few items in the sizes you need, do not provide more than 3 outfits per individual at the police station. More can be collected if they are in permanent housing.
If any bins are running low - please notify organizers and help replenish if possible.
Bring reusable bags for NV if you can. Some will be available.
Please do not leave any boxes or paper/plastic bags behind. Dumpster space is extremely limited and only emptied 1x per month.
Please do not bring any NV to our space at this time.

Collect items at home.
Sort items at HOME before bringing them to our storage. Only bring items we currently need.
If you collect great items we could use at another time, keep them. When you see a call out for those items, bring them to storage.
For example - right now we have enough kids clothing, but it’s possible a large number of kids will arrive all at once and clear us out. Then, we will do a call for more kids clothing.

Donations that come to volunteers of PSRT are sorted and distributed from our storage facility in Oak Park.
Our priority and emphasis is on people temporarily staying at the District 15 Police Station on Madison Avenue in the Austin neighborhood.
When we have surplus, we share resources with neighboring police stations, asylum seekers who have moved to shelters or apartments, and anyone in the neighborhood in need.
